Java (recommended)
Supported versions : 1.4 / 1.5 / 1.6
Java is a programming language originally developed by Sun Microsystems. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode, and at runtime, bytecode is usually either interpreted or compiled to native code for execution by the java virtual machine.
Java is used by Nectil in order to run FOP (PDF generation) and Saxon (XSL Transformation).
Java is not packaged with Nectil : you have to download and install it on the server machine, then configure the path to the java executable in the file Kernel/common/config.inc.php.
On linux you can simply set "java" if the java installation directory is in the system path (if you simply type java in a console and the program responds, it must be). If not, indicate the whole path.
e.g.: $GLOBALS["javaExecutable"]="/usr/java/jre1.5.0_04/bin/java";
On windows be sure to double every backslash character.
e.g.: $GLOBALS["javaExecutable"]="C:\\j2sdk1.4.2_05\\bin\\java";
